The AIS lab currently conducts research in the following areas:
- Developing e-business systems and e-infrastructure to support business processes and to enhance strategic competitiveness, through co-design of business processes and IT systems
- Enabling SME's to benefit from enterprise systems through Application Service Provision (ASP)
- Knowledge management for decision support and organisational learning
- Web engineering (semantic and pragmatic aspects)
- Systems integration and re-engineering of legacy systems
- Requirements analysis and specification for seamless transformation to e-business systems design and implementation, bringing benefits of solutions to industry and commerce (including engineering, manufacturing, service, medical and healthcare)
